2020 was definitely a year like no other! We faced some big challenges this year from four months of mandated shut downs, to implementing new policies and procedures, to reopening safely and keeping our members safe! This year is one like no other and we are so grateful for everyone who stood by and continued to support us! Even during a global pandemic we were still able to do some amazing things this year ... In the spring we moved our training outdoors in the sun Captain Running Man and Expressa celebrated in over 125 birthday drive by parades We launched our new Virtual Training Program for members who were not able to see us in person at the gym We held our 2nd Annual Day of the Deadlift Competition We donated over 500 lbs of food to the Calgary Food Bank We donated much needed clothing and essential personal items to the Mustard Seed We raised over $900 for the Calgary Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society in our Annual Heroes Stairmaster Challenge We adopted 14 Seniors for Secret Santa this Christmas We helped organize and attend the Chaparral Playground Grand Opening We organized and participated in the first Annual Calgary Stompede parade and festivities We feed over 180 kids weekly in Calgary Schools We started a weekly walking / hiking group! We love our FitFamily and community!!! Together we are stronger than ever! Thank you for being part of our Family! 19 years ago, I was pregnant and getting ready for work when I heard a plane had hit the first tower. I sat in front of the TV in utter shock and disbelief as I watched the second plane fly directly into tower. It was so overwhelming and shook me to the core. It was a moment I will never forget.
