An international designer for the past 35 years, Dean Renwick is known not only for his stunning red-carpet gowns and impeccable tailoring skills, but also for his candor and warmth. Dean is an admired and dedicated activist for projects close to his heart. Since 2013, Dean has put on a yearly design gala in support of local charities such as the Regina Prostate Assessment Center, and Your Time Women’s Empowerment Foundation. He also lends his talent and support to other loca...l charities and fundraisers such as Power of Pink, @Habitat for Humanity Regina, Catwalk for Water, Government House - Saskatchewan, and the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Recently, Dean and his family organized 112 volunteer sewers and gathered countless donations. Together, they made over 7,800 masks; supplying seniors with a free mask during the COVID-19 pandemic. Masks were delivered to care homes, condo complexes, and individuals ages 65 and over. In addition to Dean’s charity work he continuously takes on the role of mentoring local high school students and training the next generation of young designers. Dean is incredibly deserving of this recognition, said Chelsey Lemke, President of AFP South Saskatchewan. This award recognizes a partner with strong community ties who works hard to support non-profits and charities in south Saskatchewan - Dean certainly exceeds those expectations. We, as a community are very lucky to have someone like Dean inspiring a future generation of community partners and philanthropists. dean Renwick Design Studio is the proud recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Community Partner award, and an irreplaceable thread in the philanthropic fabric of Regina. Congratulations, Dean! Our celebration of the 2020 National Philanthropy Day awards, presented by DCG Philanthropic Services Inc., continues.
