Congratulations to Dr. Sophie Toupin and supervisor Dr. Darin Barney on a successful defence! Sophie's SSHRC/CGS funded doctoral research, "Technically Subversive: Encrypted Communication in the South African National Liberation Struggle," examined the relationship between communication technologies and revolutionary movements in the context of the South African liberation struggle. The Grierson Research Group has a new website!
