Our grade 5 & 6 students hosted a bake sale on Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 to raise funds for classroom resources. Alhumdullilah it was a successful event! This year was a little different, yet still an amazing experience for the teachers and students. During a time like this, where there are not many events held for students, this bake sale gave them an opportunity to participate in fun activities in a safe environment. The bake sale was conducted with an emphasis on the ...safety of our students, such as social distancing, exchanging money for tickets to purchase individually wrapped items instead of handling change, and frequent sanitization! Students had a lot of fun playing a variety of games and enjoying yummy snacks! We would like to thank our incredible teachers, our dedicated students and supportive parents. Thank you all for showing support, we couldn't have done it without you! JazakAllahu Khairan for everything that you do for the school. This Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, students at Al-Ameen Elementary School engage in activities and presentations related to bullying prevention in order to learn more about the importance of having a safe school with a positive learning environment for everyone. We wanted to teach students about the negative effects of bullying on a person’s learning and well-being in order to prevent incidences of bullying from happening in our school. How parents can help grade-schoolers develop effective study habits: - Help them identify distractions and work with them to lessen those distractions. - Create an effective study space for them where they can be more productive. - Point out their strengths to encourage them and help them gain more confidence.... - Recognize their weaknesses and help them work through it. - Teach them how to prioritize by keeping an eye on due dates and other deadlines. #AlAmeen #AlAmeenElementarySchool #StudyHabits

Alhumdulillah, students had a fun and incredible Community Helper Day! We would like to give a huge thank you to the amazing Police Officers who visited our school and gave presentations on what it's like to be a community helper, policing, and safety. We even had the privilege of meeting the only female Muslim Police Officer in Peel! Students enjoyed presenting their costumes and watching the presentations. We would like to thank all the parents for your help with the amazing costumes! The Kindergartens and Grade 1 students looked so adorable in their community helper outfits mashAllah tabarakAllah!
