Come join us as we kick off Pride Week with an opening ceremony featuring a keynote speech by one of Edmonton's top 40 under 40 recipients Chevi Rabbit. This opening ceremony will include speeches from U of A President Bill Flanagan and musical performances from the amazing Emmett Michael. Chevi Rabbit was born and raised from Ponoka and a member of Montana First Nation. Rabbit is a former senior makeup artist for Western Canada Fashion Week, and is one of Alberta’s multi-tal...ented artists, having worked with stars like former Mrs. Universe Ashley Callingbull and ET Canada reporter Michaella Shannon. Ze was named one of the top 25 human rights advocates by Alberta’s Premier and top 40 Under 40 by Avenue Magazine. As a Two Spirit advocate, Chevi has spent a decade in Alberta advocating for hate-free communities and LGBTQ inclusion. Let us all come together as a U of A community to celebrate and highlight Pride on campus.

#EEdebate EE EDMONTON EAGLES because "We Soar High and We Dominate the Skies" - Mascot could be a eagle. ... - Eagles are born and raised in North America. - Merchandised could be eagle wings. - Local Indigenous Metis & Cree could create beaded synthetic feathers. - THIS IS VERY CANADIAN AND RECOGNIZABLE CANADA. EE EDMONTON ELKS because of the "Winners Elk Horn of Champions" - Mascot of a Elk. So new, So Fresh and Canadian. - Merchandise can be horns that fans blow for elk cry/yell. This can be loud and awesome for a fan experience. - Merchanise of Elk. Selling Elk horns for fans. - Elk are prized by Canadian Hunters. - Elk are Canadian. - THIS IS VERY CANADIAN AND RECOGNIZABLE CANADA. We need teams of National Unity. Anything else is not Canadian. Its doesnt represent National Unity.

After much thought on creating a ready to wear line. I have cancelled the idea and will be supporting my niece as she becomes a budding female boss entrepreneur.... A fun little project for us to work on together and give back to communiTY. I will be behind the scenes supporting as creative director and guiding my niece in her creative journey in becoming a teen entrepreneur. We are launching her line this spring with some awesome photo shoots, narrative stories and looking forward to collaborating with you all. We are talks with local elders and her Cree speaking grandma on ways we can share Creeness in a authentic, educational and culturally appropriate way. Our first photo-shoot is next month and she is launching in Spring. 15% of all proceeds will go to (AWPA) Edmonton Aboriginal Women's Association and another %15 will go towards Ermineskin Cree Nation Women's Shelter. We are in the business of giving back to CommuniTY and investing in people. #proudAuntyHere
