While hand washing is the best way to clean your hands of bacteria, it may not always be an option. Hand sanitizer can provide an alternative to hand washing, e...specially while on the go. The question is, how do you know which hand sanitizer is best? When shopping for hand sanitizers, find the Natural Product Number (NPN) or Drug Identification Number (DIN) on the label, which can help to identify the product and the active ingredients. Once you’ve found the NPN or DIN, look for it on the list of hand sanitizers that are authorized by Health Canada. https://bit.ly/378m046 See more

Do you have school-aged children? If so, you’re likely all too familiar with the fear of head lice. While it’s not always possible to prevent your child from ge...tting lice, there are some things that you can do to help prevent it. Start by teaching your child to avoid head-to-head contact. They should never share hats, hair accessories, brushes, or combs with other children. https://bit.ly/2DdQS8A See more

Thanks to our patients and customers for their support over the last few months. Our staff have gone above and beyond to help maintain medication supply so no one goes with out. This hasn't been easy due to reduced physician hours and difficulty getting a prescription when your doctor is no longer here. Unfortunately these things happen and we have to adapt as best as we can. While we are able to do continued care prescriptions patients still need to see a doctor or nurse practitioner . We kindly ask that you contact the pharmacy or your physician at least 2 weeks before you run out of medication since it sometimes takes a few days to get a new prescription. As always , if you have any questions about your healthcare please call 902-853-2808. Thanks , Della

Did you know that many years ago, pharmacies were originally called apothecaries? Apothecaries manufactured and dispensed medicine until early in the 21st century, when the term pharmacy gained popularity. https://bit.ly/2YRKdbJ
