Hoping Athletic Therapist’s like myself can get back to treating our patients sooner than later! Many patients requiring treatment for their injuries have been left in limbo for weeks due to the suspension of our practices in this current lockdown period. Athletic Therapists across the province have been incredibly diligent in creating safe practices so that patients can access treatment for injuries without risking their health during this pandemic. Many people accessing an... Athletic Therapist for injury treatment are in pain, possibly missing work and missing out on their activities of daily living. Going several weeks without treatment not only causes them to live in pain, it also sets them back in their rehabilitation journey...meaning it will take even longer for them to recover from their injury and return the activities they enjoy! We are spreading the word to fellow Albertans and ultimately our government so we can get back to helping those who need it! :) https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/mobile/video
MYTH OR FACT The fitter you are, the more you sweat. ... . . FACT! Fit people tend to sweat more than people who don’t work out regularly. It’s all about how much heat they generate! The fitter you are, the higher your workload and the higher your workload, the more heat you generate! That’s what leads to the extra sweat. Also men tend to sweat more than women because they are bigger and generate more heat. REFERENCE: https://time.com/3947804/sweating-healthy/
