Fascinating rock formations at the "Shipyard" in Tumbler Ridge A relatively moderate 2-hour return hike will lead you to these geological treasures. Hike a bit further and you'll reach the "Bismarck", where you'll get stunning views of Babcock Mountain. If you're looking for a more family-friendly walk, checkout Boulder Gardens ........ We're taking a quick detour to the Yukon for our Mountain Monday: These dramatic mountain views can be found in Kluane National Park. At 5,959 m, the park is home to Canada's highest mountain, Mt Logan - but you'd have to go on a helicopter tour to see it! The mountains in Kluane National Park are renowned for its many hiking trails. For example, picture #4 & 5 were taken along the Sheep Creek Trail, a relatively moderate hike. We believe, the mountain ranges in Kluane... live up to the Yukon's motto - "Larger than Life"! Those views, remote wilderness and $12 camping stalls including free firewood (!) at the Territorial campgrounds are worth the long drive from our station in Delta, don't you think? ........ Kluane National Park, Yukon Try "King's Throne" (4-6 hrs), "Sheep Creek" (4 hrs) or many other day hikes Grizzlies, Black bears, Stone Sheep etc. See more

Today our Mountain Monday takes us to Vancouver Island. Mount Albert Edward is located in beautiful Strathcona Provincial Park and offers stunning views of the park, ocean and coastal mountain ranges on the mainland. This hike should only be attempted by well-prepared hikers allowing a full day to summit the peak and returning back to your RV. Most locals make this hike a backcountry trip with camps at Circlette and Kwai Lake. But don't worry if you don't have the tim...e to summit the mountain, simply enjoy a nice, easy stroll through Paradise Meadows starting from the parking lot at Mt Washington. Or, stay at one of the two campgrounds in the park near Buttle Lake! ........ Fast facts: 2,093 m Strathcona Prov. Park, Vancouver Island Many short walks, but full day - 2 day trip to summit the mountain itself Chipmunks, Gray Jays, Stellar Jays etc. See more
