PLEASE HELP! LOST CAT! Cathew ran away yesterday from Byron ave in London across from victoria public school. I am hoping someone has brought him home thinking he was stuck in the snow.

Mufasa - male/neutered/FIV+ - 6 1/2 years old Look at Me!!! Come on, take a real good look. Come a little bit closer. Handsome aren't I? You know it, I know it so, how about taking me home so that we can look at each other in a more private setting? I am extremely affectionate and I have these golden undertones in my fur that people say are just stunning. I also have one of those faces that is just that little bit different. People can't figure out why but, I do hold t...heir attention. I am only 6 years old, I am polite, well behaved so no curtain climbing for me. Thing is...it has been explained to me that I have a little something extra that most other cats don't have, besides my charming personality and good looks,. I have a condition called FIV. I feel fine, I really do but, some people are worried that I might give my little extras to a cat that is already in your happy home. That can only happen if I bite, really hard. That just doesn't sound like something I would do. I really think you should come and see me so that you can really appreciate everything that is ME.......please !!! He was recently returned to us because the person couldn't handle having a cat so it was not Mufasa's fault. It had nothing to do with Mufasa being FIV+

has anyone ever wondered if cats are right handed or left handed - I can tell you that I taught my Sheldon to shake a paw since he was a kitten and he prefers to use his left front paw - he is clearly uncomfortable when I try to do it with his right front paw

UPDATE: Simba was very quickly claimed, with proof of ownership provided. He is now happily settled at home. Thank you to everyone involved. Happy endings are the best when you can bring a family back together. This young male cat was surrendered to Animal Aide this morning from a resident in the area of Shaw BLVD area of Lynhurst. He is extremely friendly! He has a distinctive marking on his nose. He is currently on a 4 day hold at Animal Aide, located at 333 Talbot Street, St. Thomas. For those of you who remember Jet, he was very shy and didnt trust anyone. We had him for a long time but nothing seemed to help him very much. He was never aggressive. One day, someone who had adopted from us before was talking to me about adopting a cat whose chances were slim and I told her all about Jet. She adopted him. Just look at him now! Im so happy for him. He looks so relaxed, laying on her so he has also learned to trust. All any of these cats needs is love and time.

We love being part of the Petsmart Charities and we really appreciate our St. Thomas team.

One of the best things about being with Animal Aide for such a long time (I started in early 2003) is that I have met some really great people. These people include Board Members, Volunteers and foster families. During the 7 years I was physically able to work in the center, I also met some amazing people who adopted cats and kittens from us. It means so much to me that some of the adoptive families remember our conversations regarding the cats and kittens when they came in t...o adopt. So many years have gone by since those conversations and Im extremely grateful to those of you who have sent me private messages when their pet died. It makes me feel good about the volunteer work I did when I was at the center that these people remembered me and knew that I would be grateful to know that these cats had such wonderful lives. In 17 years, I know some of the cats would have passed away by now, but these private messages to me are something I am very grateful for. It is a reminder to me that there are some wonderful people out there. Thank you! See more
