ARCCO is Gathering Artist-run Centre Information for government organizations In an effort to ensure that all ARCCO member organizations are able to survive the coming weeks (and perhaps months) of suspended programming and limited operations due to illness, we've been asked to ask all of you (Artist-run folk!) a few questions about how prepared your centres are to take on the challenges presented by the pandemic, Covid-19. Please reply to this email at: [email protected] QUESTIONNAIRE Can you please let us know if there are specific concerns your organization is facing? Geographical? Demographics-based? Does your organization have an accumulated surplus that can weather a deficit or short-term cessation of operations? Are you able to pay your artists and workers regardless of event cancellations for the next 3 months? Will you see a loss in core funding/sponsorships/earned-revenues as a result of event cancellations?

With the help of AMAZINg grant writers, Danielle and Amelia (Thank-you!!!) the new ARCCO Board of Directors developed and completed an Ontario Arts Council Arts Service Organizations Operating Grant this week. We are hoping that our most supportive funding partner will help us to completely RETHINK and REORGANIZE (with, of course, all of your help) over the next four to six months. Stay tuned to this page for news of our upcoming Artists Rights Summit slated for this May.

Our hearts are with the people of Paris, caretakers of Notre Dame, historians, art historians, & everyone around the world impacted by the tragic fire at Notre Dame Cathedral today. We hope after this disaster that the cathedral will one day return as the center of the city of lights.
