I know a picture of a wall might not be exciting to you, but it's super exciting to us because it means that thanks to a generous contribution by Bob and Carolyn Durston, we've been able to patch and paint our downstairs walls! Now who wants to be the hero to help us replace that old carpeting? Whether it's this or something else, if you've ever thought about making a contribution to ArtsForward, we're happy to help match you to the project of your heart.

A big thanks to John's Electric for their recent donation that has helped us improve the lighting in our main gallery. Doesn't it look great? (Notice how I snuck in a picture of art in here? ) Piece by piece, thanks to contributions like this, we're slowly able to get our building in tip top shape for all the arts and community programming yet to come!

I bet our artsy crowd can do great things with this!

As with so many small businesses and non-profits, ArtsForward will be closed to the public again after today. We love our community and are willing to do what it takes to keep everyone safe and healthy if we can. We look forward to seeing you all again soon! (And of course keep watching this Facebook and our YouTube channel for more arts videos to keep you going!)

Despite our best efforts to keep it going, due to the current COVID-19 situation in Manitoba and province-wide restrictions, we will unfortunately have to cancel this year's Glorious Christmas Wish Sale. We will be reaching out to all of our crafters and vendors individually regarding next steps. Be safe, everyone!

Heads up that today is the last day to see the Fibre Art Divas' "Home" in the Manawaka Gallery! It's a beautiful show that you don't want to miss.

Creative Kids Club At Home starts today! And the beauty of the "at home" part is there's no such thing as signing up late--the projects will be there waiting for you! It's Very Important Question time! We know that a lot of people who usually make the trek south for the winter are staying home this year. Our question is this: what classes, programs, or anything else would you like to see at ArtsForward this year to make your winter a little brighter! We're all pros at the social distancing thing now so let's see what we can make happen.

Please note that the Manawaka Gallery will be closed today (Thursday, September 17) as our facility is at capacity for a private event. The ArtsForward office remains open, however. We hope to see you on another day to check out the wonderful exhibit "Home" by the Fibre Art Divas!

We're trying things a little differently this fall: Creative Kids Club...at Home! Starting at the end of September and running for 8 weeks. If you don't want to pick up a supply kit in person, I can also do contactless delivery within the town of Neepawa. Have fun, make art! Mother Nature has gifted us with a beautiful day for our final Farmers Market of the season, so let's take advantage of it! 4 pm on the ArtsForward grounds (293 Mountain Ave, across from the Giant Tiger). Hope to see you there!

I wanted to confirm for everyone that there WILL be a Farmers Market at ArtsForward this week as usual. We ask that all vendors and visitors do wear a mask, however, as per the current public health order. Thanks, and I hope to see you there!

Like the rest of our region, masks are now required inside the ArtsForward facility, as well as on the grounds when events are taking place. This applies whether you are visiting the office, attending an ArtsForward class or event, such as our Duct Tape Accessories class this afternoon, or whether it is a rental for your own usage. Thank you for your consideration. We can get through this together!
