With the rising numbers, we are suspending all in person shopping in our space, for the time being. We are committed to the health and safety of our community and are working to provide new and adaptive ways to support your creative needs. So, we have just launched a new Curbside Pick Up option through our website! Head over to our website to submit a request for materials, and we will do our best to accommodate your request! As this is a pilot program, we ask for your patie...nce as we work through the runnings of it. These materials are available take-what-you-need pay-what-you-can as always. And as always, we suggest a donation of $3.50/kg (as this is what it costs us to process materials), however there will be a $5 fee added on to each order placed. Take care, and stay safe!

New Workshop We all love a story. Story telling through collage creates an opportunity to blend written statements, poetry or just one word in combination with visuals to create a narrative. In this Mixed Media Class, you will work on a larger piece or several small ones and learn how to utilize images, text, embellishments, backgrounds, apply image transfers, and much more. There are no rules, just many suggestions to support you on your visual collage narrative journey. ...This playful, experimental art making process will have you hooked! Workshop will take place from 7-9 on November 19th. Tickets are $30 and to register for this workshop head to our website (link in bio) This workshop will take place on Zoom (Link will be sent day of event) and includes a kit full of recycled collage materials from our depot. About the facilitator: Rhonda Simmonds embraces many creative labels. She is a mixed media artist, an altar maker, an assemblage artist, a tea maker, a storyteller, an expressive arts facilitator, an avid baker, and the keeper and tender of creative flames at Casa Sanctuary Art House. As an artist, Rhonda's work is often created from found, discarded, thrifted ,or otherwise used up items that have lost their purpose. With vision, intention, and intuition, Rhonda creates new life from the old and gives birth to art with a whole new purpose. Her creations take many forms, including shadow boxes, altars, dioramas, and sculptures. As an arts facilitator, Rhonda believes that the creative process is life enhancing and art opens the doors of self-healing. ID: A round collage created by Rhonda has an image of a face in the centre. The background is black, it has white text, collages letters and images on it.
