Hello everyone what a whirlwind this has been since getting back to it. Thank you for having patience and understanding with all our protocols I truly appreciate it. On another note, sadly, I am not accepting new patients for the rest of the year. My case load is too much to handle as it is and I have to make sure those currently in it are taken care of. For those who are in my client list needing evenings. Please be aware evenings are almost full for the rest of the year. ...( I KNOW?!) So please be aware of that and if you have flexibility for daytime or morning please let myself or our client care team know. The waiting list is also a great option. Thank you for all the support and trust during this second half of the year! Let's all enjoy the rest of our summer and stay safe! Ashley~

Thank you for your support during this time. In this post I will give a brief overview of what your Massage Therapy appointment will look like. Please refer to pinned post at the top of this page to familiarize yourself with clinic protocols or the Sun City Physiotherapy Facebook page to view the procedures video. 1. When you arrive if you are early please wait in your vehicle and come into the clinic 5 mins before your appointment time. Please limit your personal belongings... and follow the clinic protocols we have set up for you. I am urging everyone to be on time. If you are late this will take up time in your appointment as procedures have to be done which will be covered in this post. 2. Once in the Massage Therapy Treatment room I am asking everyone to do their best and not touch anything in the room unless needed or instructed to do so. As a heads up I will be wearing a mask the entire time which will be switched out so I have a new mask for every patient. 3. I will administer a COVID-19 Screening test and consent form before starting your appointment interview. At this point you will have been screened for this appointment now 3 times. This will be a regular occurrence as this has to happen every single appointment. Please have patience with us. If screening is successful we will proceed with your appointment. If your screening fails I will direct you in what to do next. 4. You will be required to wear a mask for your treatment if you have any concerns please talk to me. There will just be 2 sheets on the massage table. We have removed any comfort liners and blankets to reduce cross contamination. If you get cold please talk to me. For patients that would prefer treatment to be administered with gloves please let me know and I can happily accommodate. 5. Once your treatment has concluded you will be asked to get changed. Please DO NOT open the door. Leave it closed wait for myself to return. Once your appointment is done we will schedule your next appointment with myself or you can schedule it online in the comfort of your home. My availability is also going to be altered. My clinic hours have not changed however to ensure proper sanitization of the space between clients and to allow for appointment bookings 30 minute gaps have been scheduled in between each client. This is not new but I encourage especially now to my patients if you would like an appointment please book ahead as necessary. New patient intake may be very limited or restricted at this time. This is a brief overview and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Ashley Ainsworth RMT

I’m pleased to announce that starting May 21st I will be resuming Massage Therapy Practice. Please be patient as I take a couple days to rearrange my schedule to make room for new protocols. Thank you for your continued support

Hello everyone! So I thought I would hop on here to answer a question that has been asked by many of my patients since the announcement last Wednesday. "Can I book for the week of the 19th?" Phase 2 is starting May 19th, this is super exciting news. However as a regulated health profession we received an official Order from the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry to cease practice. This order remains until she signs another order that allows us to return therefore re...vising the initial order. Until that happens I can't return to work. So why has an email been sent announcing our comeback? We want to be ready for you. We want to be ready at a moments notice, upon the new approved order from Dr. Bonnie Henry, to resume practice. We are committed to keeping everyone that steps into our clinic safe and will add recommendations from the PHO to our already extensive care plan we have created to create a safe space for you. If a PHO approval order has not been released we will be canceling accordingly as we go until clarity or a green light has been given. We are nearing the light at the end of the tunnel and I promise we will get there soon!

It was announced that myself and others in the regulated health care industry could possibly return to work as of the 19th of May. What is happening now? 1. We are waiting for regulating colleges to receive approval for their plans from the Provincial Health Office. Once this is done we will officially have a green light. This might be done by the 19th of May it might not be. Stay tuned. 2. Once these recommendations and protocols have been set by the colleges we will be im...plementing these protocols. What this looks like we aren’t sure yet but will probably include some mask usage for both myself and patient as well as diligent screening upon booking and on appointment day. If you are considered high risk upon either screening you will be given further instructions but will not be booked or treated. 3. I’m giving everyone a heads up. On how I will be handling patients who get sick (with anything). If you are feeling under the weather, fever, cough, sneeze etc. No matter how mild the symptoms. Do not come to your appointment. You will not be charged a no show fee but if you choose to come in sick you will be asked to go home and receive no treatment. This is for the protection of everyone I come into contact with which includes other patients, my family, my friends, and lastly myself. This is non-negotiable. So please cancel. As I know more all patients will be notified but this is the update. Thank you everyone for your continued support during this time and hope to see you soon. Ashley

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! As some may know already through my lovely awkward phone calls today (I’ve never been a good phone person haha) we unfortunately have to extend our clinic closure to May 4th. We will be working to ensure everyone is contacted and notified. These are hard times and I definitely miss seeing you all. In the mean time stay safe, stick to the social distancing plan, and have a great Easter! ... -Ashley
