One of the foundational values of our agency is rooted in volunteer efforts to contribute to the wellbeing of our community - we appreciated being able to share in helping others during this holiday season. Happy Fall! This is my (Melodie) favorite time of year! But with Fall, we get "shorter" days and less light. Launching today!! Spruce Grove Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), in partnership with Aspire Psychological, are happy to announce a single session counselling service provided by APS counsellors via phone or through secure video conferencing. The service is open to all residents living in the Tri-Municipal Region from July 2 to Nov 1, and it is free of charge. Appointments are for a single session only, and will be available on Tuesdays from 128 p.m. and Wednesday...s from 123 p.m. only. Bookings will open for the upcoming week on Sundays at 3 p.m. and can be made online at aspire.janeapp.com. A long time ago, I met up with a friend, whom I hadn’t seen in 2 years, and she was so surprised (no, she was crazy shocked!) at the change in me. I went from extremely shy to moderately confident! I had not taken the time to notice how different I was I may not have noticed if she hadn’t said anything. When I look back, I can see incredible growth and change in who I am, and I’m very grateful for my journey. It was not an easy journey, but it molded me into becoming who ...I am today. And in 10/20/30 years, I know that I will continue to say this: everyday is a potential for growth. I hope that when you look back on your life, you are kind in your assessment of growth. Be proud!
