COVID-19 UPDATE: To protect the health and safety of Edmontonians, Events Edmonton announces that the 2020 Taste of Edmonton will be postponed to July 22 - August 1, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our staff, restaurant partners, volunteers, and Edmontonians is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Now more than ever Edmontonians need the enjoyment of so many amazing local restaurants and entertainment. However following the guidelines set... out by governing bodies about mass gatherings, our organization felt strongly that Taste of Edmonton 2020 cannot proceed in these unprecedented times, says Donovan Vienneau, General Manager of Events Edmonton. Events Edmonton has monitored the latest news and updates from provincial and federal authorities in hopes that circumstances would improve to be able to come together for another Taste of Edmonton festival this summer. This pandemic is a devastating blow to the local industry but the health of everyone who attends and participates in the Festival is a major priority. We have an exciting announcement: Taste of Edmonton is heading back to Churchill Square in 2020! Events Edmonton is looking forward to collaborating with the City of Edmonton for Taste of Edmonton and working to evolve the event into the future. Taste of Edmonton restaurant partner applications are now open on the website. Taste will be celebrating its 36th year, running from July 16-26, 2020. The food festival continues to grow by featuring more local restaurants and food tr...ucks, increased kids programming, and daily Canadian entertainment.
