We place a high priority on the safety and wellness of both our staff and clients. The current situation in the world is not to be taken lightly. For this reason on the recommendation of the Canadian government we have made the decision to close our doors temporarily at both our Saint John and St. George locations. Our plan is to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. We are checking messages daily and are available to answer any physiotherapy questions you may have. We are also doing telephone consultations and virtual rehab for anyone that is interested. These services are covered by WSNB and many insurance companies. Please message us on Facebook, email or leave us a phone message at 642-5005 and we will get back to you. Stay safe everyone!

We want to reassure our clients we are watching this situation closely and although we always keep our clinic clean we are taking every precaution to keep everyone safe. Happy New Brunswick Day everyone! Hope you are out enjoying our great province on this sunny day! Just a reminder we will be operating on reduced hours this week due to vacations- our SJ office will be open 830-1 Tues-Fri and our StG office is closed today but open its regular Wed/Fri hours.

Guilty! I know I don’t sleep enough- sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day! Anyone else have this issue? When you have an injury proper sleep is an important part of your recovery. We all know someone affected by cancer. If you have a minute drop by HarbourView High School tonight and purchase a luminary for $5 to support the annual Relay for Life. They are available in the main lobby. This is a great event organized by the school and has raised thousands of dollars for a great cause over the years! Get out and show your support!

Ugh sandbags! Heavy but necessary in the spring lately in NB. Here are some tips for staying safe : 1) To pick up a sandbag spread your feet about shoulder width apart with one foot forward and your back foot behind the sandbag. 2) Squat down and get close to the sandbag. 3) Grab the neck of the bag with one hand and place the other hand under the bag. 4) Stand up using your leg muscles.... 5) Hug the sandbag close to your body as you carry it to its destination. 6) If you need to change direction, continue to hug the sandbag close and turn your whole body by moving your feet. 7) Pace yourself and enlist the help of family and friends. Good luck to all of the NB athletes heading to the Boston Marathon this weekend! We were there last year and it was awesome! Looking at the forecast it looks like a repeat of last year. The best advice we have is to bring plastic bags and lots of them to stay dry! Putting them over your running shoes will help keep the mud away. The mud pic is a view of inside the tent where you wait a good 90 min before the race ugh! Enjoy every minute!

Thanks to the Canadian Cancer Society for delivering a splash of spring colour to our office this week! It’s for a great cause. Don’t forget to pick up yours- it makes the snow seem not so bad!
