I've been a bit MIA with August being my busiest month since launching my business but I just had to take some time to share this session! I don't often capture couples but this engagement session made me wish I did! In case any of you lovely mama's missed this in my Instagram stories yesterday: This past Mother's Day we spent in isolation and didn't get to document those special moments in Motherhood through a session. For any mom's wanting to capturing these special memories with their little one(s) I am offering my Lifestyle Mommy & Me Minis at $50 off from now through August. *The Lifestyle Nook has recently been updated and I've included a video of it in the comments!*... My heart goes out to all the families that missed the window for getting those time sensitive memories captured. Was so happy we just made it in time for this lovely families newborn session <3 For any family who had a baby born during isolation and missed getting their newborn captured, I am able to do a newborn session up to 8 weeks old. Oh how I missed capturing the magic

I am officially taking on new bookings for 2020! It feels so good to be back in the studio. I have some pretty intense protocols in place for the health and safety of all my clients which means availability is very limited to allow for proper sanitization of the studio. If you would like to book in a session for the remainder of 2020 I would love to get you booked in now while I still have some availability. I am currently booking all studio sessions (maintaining distance fo...r all except newborn which is posed) as well as outdoor Summer sessions! I am super excited to announce that the studio will soon be re-opening! After months in isolation and the studio closed the news that photography, both outdoor and studio, is being included in Durham's Stage 2 of re-opening was music to my ears! I've missed all the baby snuggles, cake smashing, chubby cheeks and giggles. I currently have a very large list of clients to contact whose sessions were canceled due to covid 19 while trying to entertain my very active daughter. I wi...ll be going down my list contacting you all to get you booked back in but this process is expected to take a few days as I can only be at my desk in increments. New policies and procedures will be put in place to ensure the health and safety of all my clients. I appreciate your patience so much while you await my message <3 For new clients or past clients wanting to book in a new session, feel free to contact me to get on a wait list for when I will be accepting new bookings. This will happen once my wait list is worked through so it's best to get on this list asap if you have a session in mind!

So many weeks have passed since I've gotten to capture the smilies and chubby cheeks of little ones. The studio has felt so empty but there is now light at the end of the tunnel! I do not have an exact date for re-opening yet but I am hoping that I will be able to re-open the studio late this June! I will have an exact studio opening date once we are officially in stage 2 of re-opening as photographers have been included in this stage. A few notes:... - New protocols will be in place for the health and safety of all my clients. Those will be sent to all clients before entering the studio. - Previously booked clients that had to be cancelled due to COVID, you will be contacted as soon as I have that official date of re-opening. I will not be contacting anyone before I have that date, however, please feel free to reach out if you have questions. - New clients, I currently have a wait list for anyone wanting to book a session. Please contact me to get yourself on that list if you are interested in booking an outdoor or studio session. - Seasonal Mini sessions will be launched only after I contact all my previously booked clients but I look forward to hopefully launching some outdoor minis as early as July (fingers crossed!). I havent been very active on here lately but its important I take the time for this. Black Lives Matter. Instead of saying I dont see colour I say I see your colour and its beautiful. ... Instead of saying I understand I say I know Ill never fully understand but here with you I stand. Instead of asking what should I do? my question is what can I do for you? Im here to listen, learn and grow because all lives cant matter until Black lives matter

Oh how I miss capturing memories for my clients! Currently all photographers in Ontario have been left in the dark on where we fit in amongst the stages of reopening and when we can legally get back to work. Its hard not knowing if and when we can safely reopen and leaves us wondering if our industry will be included at all. At this point I would not feel comfortable reopening the studio until it is safe to do so as my clients well being and safety comes first. But there a...re many families wanting to do safe and socially distant sessions outdoors which we cannot do until we know we are in the clear legally and given some guidelines for reopening. Many photographers in Ontario are coming together to petition for us to be given these guidelines so we can give more information to our clients. Studio closure update: With the recent start of phase one of re-opening in Ontario I thought it was a good time to update you all on the current status of the studio. At this time photography in Ontario has not been included in that first phase and in return my studio must remain closed as well as shooting outdoor sessions. While I know this is best for the safety of my clients and their families it does break my heart to not be able to document these memories for my wonderf...ul clients. Some updates just to keep you all informed: - Clients whose sessions had to be canceled due to Covid-19 still remain on my wait list. - Once I can safely and legally re-open, no new sessions will be booked until all previously booked clients have a new date. - For anyone interested in booking a session I do have an ongoing waitlist for new sessions. *Please note these will not be booked until all previously canceled sessions are re-booked. At that time I will be going down the list so it's best to get on it ASAP! Thank you so much for your understanding during these hard times. Happy Easter from my little bunny to yours! This Easter is different. By staying away from family we are showing love and care. We are distancing ourselves to do our part and keep everyone safe. Its hard staying away from those we love, especially on the holidays, but it will feel so much more amazing when we finally get to embrace our families and friends again. As the day's away from the studio turn into weeks I find it hard to step into the space that once brought me so much joy. My heart breaks for all the memories I am not able to capture for families during this hard time. It makes me miss the snuggles I'd get during a newborn session or the giggles during a cake smash while little icing smeared footprints were left on the floor. It also makes me realize how truly important it is to document these moments, whether it's through... a professional photographer after we are able to safely re-open or even just picking up your camera or phone during this time and snapping away. There is truly so much beauty in the everyday just waiting to be captured <3

Just before having to close the studio I was blessed to be able to capture my sisters pregnancy announcement! A big congratulations to Britt & Erik, I couldnt be more excited to be an auntie to this baby!

In these hard times something I've found joy in is the way it's brought us all together <3 And until I can open again, sharing these beautiful motherhood memories caught prior to my studio closing <3

It's with a heavy heart that I have to create this post <3 In light of all going on with COVID-19 I have made the very hard decision to officially close the studio until May 13th at the earliest. Creating memories for my clients is something that is so important to me but the health and wellbeing of you and your families will always come first. I have followed recommendations from the World Health Organization and decide to postpone all sessions until the week of April 6th ...at the earliest. If you have a session booked in April 6th and onward I will not be contacting you until closer to your session as things are changing daily and it's too early to say if we will need to continue to push or if we will be able to continue business as usual. I will not be taking new bookings at this time so that I am able to accommodate postponed sessions from previously booked clients. In the meantime I will continue to post old session on my page to bring some sweetness into these hard days. Small businesses are going to be feeling the impact of this so if you come across a small business you love don't forget to like, comment, share their stuff, it makes a huge difference! <3 I am sending love to all you wonderful families and wishing everyone good health and safety xo
