It has been one year, and a lifetime, since we hosted our last show at the hall. Remember being so close together, laughing at Donovan Woods joke about viruses and feeling safe. One week later we were shut down and we still are not sure when we will see another band in Avening. In recognition of the time since there was pie baking, beer drinking and music loving in Avening we thought we would create a playlist. We have Joel Plaskett, Elliott BROOD, Neko Case and a few othe...rs on the list already but we want to add your song. What song makes you think of the hall? What song should be added to this list? All remaining Avening Concerts have been postponed. It is our hope that these will all be rescheduled very soon. At that time we will honour your tickets for the new date or provide a refund. For those who hold tickets and are unable to wait for the rescheduled date please contact the ticketseller - either The Creemore Echo or Ticketscene.ca - for your refund.

Sad, sad songs and the hilarious stories behind them during two sold out performances at Avening Hall on March 7. Ed Roberston of Barenaked Ladies made a surprise guest appearance during the matinee.

Our spring concert series kicks off tomorrow with Donovan Woods. Reminder: We are going plastic-free! From now on, we will not have plastic cups available at the bar. We will have our new branded enamel mugs for sale with a special offer: A drink and a mug for $10 on your first visit to the bar. (People are also invited to bring their own cups.) As always, there isn't an ATM in Avening, so bring cash. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the hall this spring.
