I think that you need to practice the things that you don't like to do so that when you have to do them, you may still not like it, but at least you are used to... it. Vertical rails and vertical planks have never been my favorite, so I used to make myself canter on down and try to make it work. It is sort of like watching those US Army recruit training movies when they drag the kids out of their bunks in the middle of a cold heavy rain and make them crawl through the mud. They hate it, but when it happens for real, the ones who have dealt are more likely to deal. We all have something---I don't mean go embrace it, but neither should we go out of the way to avoid it. Maybe smaller versions, but face up to those boogeymen----
