Balgonie Volunteer Fire Department

BFD is out on the 2nd rollover in 3 hrs on Hwy 1. This one is east bound near the Hwy 46 overpass, drive carefully and slow to 60km/h when passing emergency vehicles and tow trucks. Please use caution around emergency vehicles, and just in general on the highway today.

FIREWORKS ARE A GO FOR 1915 TONIGHT! As of 1825 tonight the winds are still BELOW our safety limits for the fireworks tonight. If there is any change we will let you know!

Don't forget about the Unveiling of the Xmas Balls tomorrow night at 1900 at the Town Office! The Balgonie Fire Dept will be putting on a small fireworks show to go with it at 1915 and the best place to see them will be along Railway St! Same rules apply as the Canada Day fireworks please: only members of one household per vehicle, stay in or at your vehicle, no mingling with other vehicles or people outside your household. ***In case of high winds the fireworks will be postponed but the Unveiling of the Xmas Balls will go on regardless of the weather.

At 7 pm this evening BFD will sound their sirens in remembrance of Esterhazy's Captain Barry Brown.
