Hello everyone! We are excited to announce barber house will reopen this Monday! The same rules apply before lockdown ( appointments only and no more than one family in the barber shop at a time) please call ahead starting tomorrow as we will be booking up super quick for Monday! While the exact details about reopening still haven’t been passed on to us, we’d like to assure everyone that we are extremely anxious to reopen on the 14th. What you will notice is that things will be moving at a much slower pace than what you may be used to as we will be very closely monitoring the health and safety of our staff and customers. Hey St. Albert, We hope you all have been keeping safe and healthy (and sane!) over these past 2 months! ... We are set to reopen on May 14th. Please note the following changes and requests for your peace of mind and safety upon arriving! - The waiting area has been altered to allow for social distancing. If the designated seating is full please provide us with your name, phone number and well kindly ask you to wait outside or in your vehicle and well call you when its your turn. Please remember to maintain social distancing. - If the person being serviced is young, elderly, or disabled, we ask that only one guardian/aid to wait with them. - We will be disinfecting the chairs, clippers, trimmers, and any/all other accessories in between uses. - The barbers will be wearing a face mask and regularly washing hands/sanitizing between each service. - We will ask customers to use the hand sanitizer provided upon entering the shop. We will refuse to provide services if people are putting others at risk and not adhering to the safety protocols mentioned above. All we ask is for your patience during these difficult times. Many people have been wondering why barbershops have been permitted to open as part of Stage 1, and there is nothing wrong with that considering that we are such a close contact business. Stylists and barbers have regulated training and certification standards (set by the Province of Alberta) in place to keep themselves and their clients safe. In an earlier post we said that things will be moving at a much slower pace, as there will be increased infection prevention controls ...in place. We will post the details soon. We have been following closely with our Health Minister and Premier, and yesterday they have made the uneasy decision to order the closure of Barbershops along with a few other close contact businesses to help stop the spread of COVID-19. As barbers we work in very close contact with our clients which is why we feel that closing up for the time being is the m...ost suitable thing for the safety of ourselves and the community. We hope you understand and we look forward to seeing you back hopefully as soon as possible. These are aggressive measures and we dont take them lightly. We need to do everything we can to flatten the curve and keep people healthy. I strongly encourage all Albertans to stay close to home as we are all in this together.
