Countdown to Christmas Contest...Day Five. Merry Christmas 2020 may not have been the best year ever for everyone that had set their mind to achieving specific goals back in the spring, but I feel that as people of a western lifestyle, we have to be SUPER GRATEFUL that our sport went on, to some degree. Many sports did not, sadly. Our family was able to attend some pretty amazing COVID-friendly events, thanks to the hard working, determined people that figured out how to ...safely host them. And we are and will always be grateful! Each day this week leading up to Christmas, I will share some of our success stories from 2020. I was one of those people that had a specific goal in mind for 2020 - to purchase my permit, and try to fill it. The end. Anything more than that, BONUS. Why? I finally felt that I had my ducks in a row in my home life, and I had three horses that I felt had the capability on their given day to compete. Well, the world changed and of course, so did my plan. First, I bred ALG I GOT DAT LOOK to our stallion for another prospect, hoping for another ALG MFC Mini. Success #1 is that she really is all I hoped she’d be now that I’m riding her. I love her! I concentrated more on jackpotting ALG DOUBLE DOSE...first jackpot win and fastest run on a standard in 2020. Favourite event: Lockdown at the Ranch - Leroy was just a few spots out of the short go. Hurley right behind him. Other favourite events - all of them! Big and small. Thanks for making 2020 Better. #bardiamondlperformancehorses

As 2020 draws to a close, we’d like to take this opportunity to send our heart-felt thanks to all those that have had an impact on our business and our family in the past year. It’s a long list.... Many thanks to our customers that have attended clinics, made purchases or trusted us with your mares. It means so much, in such a competitive market. We appreciate it! To Dr. Ty Corbiell of CorVet for being the very best veterinarian our horses could ask for. Always helpful, so ...much knowledge, and always willing to answer our crazy questions. We are lucky to have such a great vet to depend on. So lucky to have Peter Rogers as our outstanding farrier. It has been our pleasure getting to know Peter and Carolyn this year. Not only a farrier, but new friends that we are happy to have around. Thank you! To Leo Tournier, our very dedicated Equine Dentist. Our therapists, Jessie St John of Dark Horse Osteopathy and Travis Rogers of Pulse Therapy for keeping the horses all feeling good. We rely heavily on our therapists, and this year was no exception. Aaron is our rock, our pillar, the guy that busts ass every day making all of our dreams come true. If it weren’t for him, we’d really have nothing. At the end of 2019, Aaron made the very hard decision to sell his good, old faithful head horse and step into a young gelding from our very own program, sired by our stallion Little Lenaroo and trained by our son Logan - ALG MI AMIGO HERC. Needless to say, Herc could not have been any more different than the old faithful. They finally started to click part way through the summer and had their first jackpot win in the beginning of August in Dunmore. He has continued to pick away since and seems to be enjoying the new ride! His biggest accomplishment and the thing he is most proud of was getting up our lights in our outdoor arena. Bucket list! We enjoyed them a lot through our the summer and can’t wait until spring. #bardiamondlperformancehorses
