The staff at Battle Abbey is reaching out with a massive virtual hug to family and friends from Durango Colorado. On December 19th, 2020 Jeff Paffendorf and Albert Perry were killed in an avalanche close to home near Ophir Pass. Jeff’s crew spent a fantastic week with us last winter just before COVID reared its ugly head. This group has lasting memories with us and we are devastated by the news. 8 weeks ago Jeff and Kristi brought two new twin babies into their life. Kristi, Max, and Nils you are in our thoughts and prayers 2020 is truly a year that makes no sense.
