While it's getting colder, many parts of Canada are still experiencing temperatures above 4C. If you find a tick on your dog, DO NOT use your fingers to remove... it or drown it out with water or essential oils. If you use your fingers, chances are you won’t remove the entire tick and that it’s head will remain attached to your dog. If you use water or essential oils, this can cause the tick to regurgitate saliva which increases the likelihood of disease transmission. Instead use tweezers or tick removers as indicated below. Mac lives with lots of human and dog brothers and sisters. He likes to protect all of them but Victoria (his human sister) is the one he is most attached to. Sue from Best Behaviour Dog Training is teaching Mac to relax and enjoy the love and attention from his entire family and that he and his family are safe.

My name is Harrison. I love to bark! I think all dogs should bark, especially the little ones. The best time to bark is when a human knocks on my door. Sue from Best Behaviour Dog Training said it's okay to bark a couple of times but then I should sit quietly and wait for my Mom to open the door. Sue has some great ideas because she taught me, when I sit quiet, I get treats and lots of praise. Psst!! Between you and me, I still think barking is fun!

Did you know that November is National Senior Pet Month? Seniors have so much love to give.... we're sure that Mack would agree! This very handsome 8.5 year o...ld "Puggle" (Pug x Beagle) has been patiently waiting for a family to call his own. Don't let his age fool you, this boy has lots of spunk and would love a family who will take him for long walks. If they have a pool or a cottage, even better because this boy loves the water! Being a beagle x Mack does have lots to say and can be vocal when excited, so at this time he is not suited for condo/ apartment living. Mack is a total ham, charms everyone he meets and has perfected the "cute head tilt"! At this time we are looking for a home for Mack where he will be the only animal and where all members of the household are over the age of 14 as he does not have any experience with young children.
