Part 1: Grade 7 Hand and Map Project - represents the combination of a Map and our Hands, allowing God to lead us and guide us through the "Map of Life". This project starts with Blind Contour Line drawing of their hands from observation, then transferred onto clear contact paper and placed over the map, choosing to line it up with key cartographic features like rivers, coastlines, highways etc. Students select a symbolic Bible verse to go with their Hand and Map artwork. Last Wednesday, the Grade 5s gave up their gym time for the Pastors' Appreciation Brunch. So for PE, they decided to go for a hike in the woods. They found a fallen old growth tree that has become a nurse log for ferns, huckleberries, and even trees. It probably fell over a hundred years ago. Then they decided to walk the log and counted out 59 large steps from the base to where the first remnant of branches appeared.
