I often think about how amazing it is to be able to freely move within nature and wild places in Canada. For 1000s of years our ancestors and indigenous people have taken care and been stewards of the land. We must continue to work towards reconnection and reconciliation for all to allow for us to protect and preserve these wild spaces for our children. Its not always easy to motivate yourself to get outside when this crazy weather won't let up. Minus 20 for a toddler is no joke. . . I think the key to success is to be ok with driving to your spot, hiking for 20 minutes then pulling the plug because your child can't feel his face. .... . Keep your expectations low!
