"B.C.’s new forests minister will introduce legislation this year to make ecosystem health and biodiversity an overarching, legal priority, and said sector stakeholders must move past divisiveness to work together, while some Indigenous leaders wonder what changes lie ahead for First Nations" https://www.therockymountaingoat.com//forestry-stakeholde/
Very interesting interview with Forest Minister Conroy on CBC. BCFA Director Carl Sweet mentioned at 6:21 mark and again at 7:46 where he clearly lays out the 'ask' of BCFA for a working forest designation. Minister tries to answer his request at 8:48. Minister says she will continue to work with the Forest Alliance which is a huge positive. BCFA is really on her radar now. At 9:32 Minister says BCFA has "made it pretty clear" how we want forests managed. Possibly referring ...to our letter campaign and the letters government has received so far. What do you think of the Forest Minister answers? Overall, this and the previous interview are excellent exposure for the Alliance. We are getting our story out and having an impact. https://www.cbc.ca//15823796-b.c.-forests-minister-discuss See more

Our government can leave a legacy that will continue to benefit this province long after the pandemic. Luckily, those in the forestry sector and our resource communities are more than willing to invest in that legacy. #ForestryProud #BCForestry #BCpoli http://ow.ly/JOqH50DtJAk
