Happy New Year my friends. . . 2020, for me, has been a year of darkness and light, heartache and heartfullness, fear and faith. I've experienced an intense cocooning, and it does not feel complete yet. .... . To all that may be feeling the same way, let it be rest, not confinement. You're growing. Soon our wings will stretch and we will soar, when before we only crawled. . . So comes the new year, and it should be marked. So I wish to offer a prayer for us all. . . May 2021 bring light and love, space and freedom. May we transcend who we once were to become who we must be. May the darkness disappear because of the light that emanates from the very center of WHO WE ARE. May our grief and attachments be shed, and we be born anew. Yesterday's meditation and relaxation class, inspired by the winter solstice, we explored embracing the darkness - resting in it and being supported, like a seed in the earth or a baby in the womb. Biding our time for the right conditions for rebirth, and turning inwards to see the light that is always shining within. I love this article, for it reminds us that the dark is not something to frighten us, but rather something that reminds us to go inwards and surrender
