Dear St. Albert Public families: Our priority during this pandemic has been to do everything possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and sta...ff. To continue to do so, we need your help. Alberta Health Services (AHS) is overwhelmed with the rising numbers of positive COVID-19 cases, and as a result they can take several days to contact a school in the case of a student’s positive test result. This can have serious implications regarding possible spread within the school and community. We ask, then, that you contact your child's school as soon as possible if your child receives a positive COVID-19 test result. This critical step will allow the school to develop close contact and isolation lists immediately and to begin taking steps to inform other families and prevent further spread. Even if it is outside of normal school hours, we ask that you email or phone your principal as soon as you can. Please be assured that we will never share you child’s private health information or identify your child in any way. Thank you for working with us to help keep all our students and staff safe.

If you’re a student in high school and want to help make your community a better and more welcoming place for youth, then joining BAM is perfect for you! BAM stands for Building Assets and Memories and is a youth for youth group made up entirely of youth aged 15 to 24. Everything BAM does is planned and facilitated by the youth involved, with support from the City of St. Albert Community Services Department. This is done through organizing great events for the community, weekly planning meetings, mentorship opportunities, and much more! BAM meets via Zoom on Sundays at 7pm. If you’re interested in getting involved, connect with them on Instagram! You can find them at @bamstalbert or email any questions to [email protected].

Congratulations to all of our award winners! Graduates who have won awards (Honour Roll, Top Marks, and Major Awards) are welcome to come to the school on Wednesdays in November and December between 12.30-2.30pm (after school hours) to collect their certificates. Grade 10 and 11 Honour Roll awards will be handed out in their classes. Award winners with siblings currently attending BCHS can have their sibling collect their award(s) from the Front Office during school hours.
