TIP Number 4: TO RELAX OR TO BE TEAM NATURAL: these days a lot of people are switching to our God given beautiful Afro. This is a lovely statement I really admire but this doesn't come cheap either, nothing does. ... Team Natural is accompanied by constant pain when trying to come out, style or do anything that requires a comb coming in constant with our kinky manes. If you can stand it, then, they are also a lot of leave in conditioners which can help manage maintaining the natural hair. As for those who are Team Relaxing, the fastest way to damage your hair is constantly relaxing ur hair. Relaxing your hair every 1 to 2 months is not advisable. The most often should be a 3 months interval and the most adequate, Twice a year. A major No No. Do not apply hair relaxers immediately after taking out your recent hairstyle, u should let your hair and scalp relax for at least 24 hrs before applying hair relaxer to it. C.

TIP Number 3: WHAT HAIR CREAM IS HEALTHY FOR MY HAIR There are millions of hair products out there, all are promised to give u shine, bounce, strong hair, heaven and earth.... I have come to realize that the best hair food or cream for the hair is nothing but virgin or organic coconut oil. Coconut oil because it's thinner than most oil will penetrate to ur scalp and round your hair faster And the best part is, there are no chemicals to it. coconut oil can be used as a hair food, leave in conditioner, treatments for thinning hair, split end repairer. so instead of investing in chemicalized hair product, try investing in a simple bottle of virgin or organic coconut oil and give your hair that healthy glow, bounce and shine it deserves. TIP Number 2: HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP MY PROTECTIVE HAIRSTYLE FOR? I think it should be how long to not keep it for. Based on budget some people can afford to get their hair done frequently, while others can't. The most important thing is to not leave your hairstyle for half of the year at a time.... they are a group of people who will change hairstyles 2 to 3 weeks at a time, and even though u look lovely changing hairstyles, have you stopped to think about the damage been done to the scalp? Each time u tug on your hair, u pull ur scalp. by the time the scalp is just about healing, u tug again after a while the tugg leads to the scalp been weak, then dead and eventually hair loss. wear your protective hairstyles for a reasonable length of time and give that scalp and hair some chance to heal and grow.

TIP Number 1: ALWAYS PUT YOUR HAIR IN PROTECTIVE HAIRSTYLES Many people always think protective hairstyles are complicated hairdo but actually it isn't. Any hairstyle that doesn't expose ur hair is Protective and this include braids, sew ins, corn rows and crotchets.... the most recommended protective hairstyle is crotchet. This is because a crotchet gets ur hair in the regular cornrows which is not so harsh on the scalp and at the same time allows you to rock fabulous hair styles. most people, especially those in different african countries love the Ghana braids. Ghana braids are lovely hairstyles to look at but because of the way it is made, it is very harsh on the scalp. so, in as much as Ghana braids are a type of cornrows it is not very protective on the front hair. If we can't get our hair done, a wig is ur friend just make sure u put ur hair in simple cornrows before popping on that wig and we would still be fine.
