Ullr, god of snow, has finally woke from his slumber and made up for lost time by dumping 76cms of glorious powder on Whistler Blackcomb over a 72 hour period this past weekend.

Heres what Canadas new Chef de Mission (and former Crazy Canuck) Steve Podborski had to say after visiting the venues: "I was really impressed at how compact the Games are. From the athletes village, if youve got a good arm, you can literally from the one (building) closest to the Bolshoi Ice Hockey Palace get a baseball over to the runway on the outside. Its phenomenally close together. And the rest of the venues are within 100 metres or 200 metres of each other in a great big circle."
