Well everyone, it looks like we will be closed still until at least February 16th. At that time places will begin going back into the color-coded system but we don't know where we fall in that system so it could continue even longer. We will let everyone know as soon as we know we can open. Reminder that your artist will contact YOU when they are rescheduling. As many of you know yesterday Ontario went into lockdown. Unfortunately the lockdown really only closes down a handful of businesses but Tattoo Studios are one of them. Currently the priemier said we would be able to reopen on Jan. 23rd but it could be extended. Blackgate is currently closed until we are given the green light to reopen. Appointments that are missed will be contacted by their artist to rebook as soon as possible! All deposits will be honoured and carry over to the new date. We hope everyone remains safe and we cant wait to tattoo you again!

EXCITING NEWS: Today the Ontario government has given the okay for personal services to be reopened as early as Friday, June 12th! Now this doesn't mean that Blackgate will be opening that day but its definitely the light at the end of the tunnel! More updates later this week about a firm opening date and details.

We cant believe it, 1 year already We are so thankful to be able to have created a community of our own. So many new friends and clients all sharing in the love of art! From tattoo collectors to art students at SDCI, and local artists, every one of you has helped us create and build an art community here in Strathroy. We had hoped to throw a special celebration and give back to everyone who has given us so much and made this all possible, but sadly the recent health crisi...s has put a stopper on that. We hope to show everyone our appreciation, however, as soon as we are able to reopen! We have some fun ideas in mind that we will be able to do through online participation or at the studio following necessary precautions! As an update to when we might be able to reopen or about appointments both existing and future: we get our information the same as everyone else so sadly we don't know when we can open any more than you. Clients who had appointments already affected by the shutdown - you will be contacted by your artist to reschedule as soon as we know when we can reopen. For people wondering about booking future appointments - currently we aren't taking any new appointments due to the uncertainty of when we will be open again, so we don't want to give anyone dates before we have had the chance to reschedule everyone else. Hey everyone! Short update, we are still closed due to the COVID-19 protective measures. If you had an appointment with an artist that was affected by this closure you will be contacted by your artist in order to reschedule based on the order your appointment was affected from the shutdown. We know there are going to be a lot of people looking for new tattoos and not to mention out 1 year anniversary is almost here! Hey everyone! Just wanted to update our clients that with the list of non-essential workplaces being closed, we will now be closed for a mandatory 14 days on top of our self-imposed closure. Currently that would make our reopen date April 8th as the closure goes into effect tomorrow but this mandatory closure will be reassessed every 2 weeks. As to not make a bunch of updates about when our reopen may be, we will be closed simply until further notice. We hope everyone is staying healthy and we cannot wait to get back to tattooing after everything!

IMPORTANT It is with great consideration and a heavy heart that we are announcing our temporary closure and termination of services effective immediately until at least the first of April. We wish to be part of the solution, not the problem. If you have an appointment already scheduled during the next two weeks your deposit will be honoured and your appointment will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Please note that we will not be rescheduling these appointments until we ar...e sure of exactly how long we will be closed for. When it is certain we will be reopening we will reschedule clients based on the order they were intended, with those losing their appointments first to be the first to reschedule. Your artist will contact you to reschedule! There are many clients to consider and if everyone floods their inboxes it will be difficult for them to get through and sort everyone out. Please hold off until they contact you either through social media or by phone. If you have any other questions regarding your appointment please contact your artist directly through social media. We are sorry for the inconvenience but the health of our clients and our artists are our number one concern.

*IMPORTANT* To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 even further, we have decided to close our doors to the public and operate as a private studio until as such time as the virus outbreak is minimized to safe levels. What does this mean for you? If you have an appointment with an artist your appointments still stand! Come in when you are scheduled, and limit the number of people you bring with you. With the rising concern about the COVID-19 virus we want to ensure everyone that health safety is our number one priority every day of the year, not just during this time. We are inspected regularly and go above and beyond for our clients when it comes to their safety. We have stationary hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the studio and bottles of sanitizer in every booth that we encourage clients to use! We will be open for business as usual unless instructed otherwise by the Health Unit or other health governing body. Please, if you are feeling unwell or think you may be coming down with a illness send us or your artist a message to reschedule! Lets try to keep everyone healthy and well.
