We are excited to welcome our new Canal Flats CVSC coach, Sara Zylka, who will be coaching the CanSkate program as well as the PowerSkate program in Canal Flats... on Wednesdays. Here is a bit about Coach Sara: Sara is very excited to have made the recent move from Alberta to Canal Flats with her family. She grew up skating in Ontario and trained at the Mariposa Skating School. It wasn’t long after competing she realized her passion for skating had to continue. Skating in a few ice shows and then on to her coaching career. Obtaining her national trained certification in coaching she travelled nationally and internationally. As head coach in Hong Kong at the Aberdeen Marina Club and Ice Rink Manager in Dubai UAE she then returned back to Canada. She traveled while coaching for the next few years while then settling in 2011 in Camrose, Alberta with her family, husband Darryl and children Mia and Jack for the next 9 years. Sara worked with the local skating club as Administrator and coach. Sara and her family moved to Canal Flats in November 2020 and she is very excited to be able to share her passion of skating with the community and coaching the local skaters.

Coach Cambria hails from the Kelowna Skating Club. We fitted her with a new pair of Elite Boots by Jackson Ultima Skates Custom made just for her. Topped off with a new pair of Legacy blades, she is all set to COACH!!! Congratulations Coach Cambria!!!

Kaia skates out of the Kamloops Skating Club and is advancing quickly. We fitted her with a new pair of Debut Fusion boots and a new set of Legacy 8 blades by Jackson Ultima Skates to give her the support she needs. Congratulations Kaia!!!

Sara skates out of the Vernon Figure Skating Club and is sooooo excited to upgrade her gear. We fitted her with a new pair of Premiere Fusion boots and a new set of Legacy 8 blades by Jackson Ultima Skates to get her to the next level. Congratulations Sara!!
