It is with great regret that I am announcing that Blue Star will not be hosting horse shows in the future. Mike and I have been hosting shows since 1990 and have enjoyed every minute of them. The last few years have been very difficult with declining numbers. The emotional and physical effort required in running any show is enormous whether it is for 20 entries or 250. The last 10 years the numbers have declined radically and as a result puts an enormous strain on the financial side. I am going to miss seeing all those faces and talking with so many people. I have made wonderful friends which I am very grateful for. I will still be out at horse shows with my students so will be able to keep in touch with many of you. Thank you for supporting us over the years

We are looking forward to the second Dressage show tomorrow. One final request please - trailers please use the field just north of the entrance to Blue Star. Our normal parking area is unusable because of all the rain we have had this summer. Cars can proceed onwards to the grass ring through the next gate. You can walk onwards to the show office and spectator area from there. Horses may be dropped off in the main parking area for stabling and the trailers then park in the north field.
