One of the most exciting things that can happen while you’re out on the water is to spot a pod of orcas (killer whales) They frequent the waters around Vancouver and can be spotted up and down Vancouver Island. Just be sure to keep your distance (at least 200m). If whales approach your vessel reduce your speed to less than seven knots to limit your noise and wake.
