Well, we’re almost there! The team is super excited to announce that our #Whitby #studio, located around 117 Brock Street South in #downtown Whitby, will be able to provide full services - #makeup, #hair, #skin - starting this Friday, July 24, 2020. It’s definitely #summer. We might not be able to do all the summer things we want to do - but let’s welcome the weather anyway! . . The current #makeup scheme is light and #natural. For this look I focused on bolder #brows, #neutral shading for the #eyes, soft peach and #bronze for the #cheeks. Our new Whitby studio is a little gem. Not only is it a space for us to meet with brides and clientele, the studio lends itself well for creative development and photography. . . One of the things we used to do as a #makeup and #hair team is set up #creative #beautyshoots for BlushPretty artists to use in their online #portfolios and to generate #content for sharing with and inspiring both friends and followers. It was an opportunity for our seasoned artists to try new looks ...and push their creative envelopes, and for new artists to build their portfolios. . . Sometimes we did this with a chosen dream team, bringing in #photographers, #stylists and #models to produce magazine-worthy photos. And other times, we encouraged artists to bring in a camera-ready friend to model while using natural light and a great camera to take just as stunning images. Whatever the plan the studio has always been and will always be about inspiring creativity and helping artists flourish. . . Starting this July 2020, we will be opening our Whitby studio doors to newly-minted beauty artists, creative teams, and photographers as a space to build and create together and to seek inspiration. With reasonable hourly rates starting at $40 per hour, photographers, stylists, and artists can book the Whitby studio to set up their own #photoshoots, bring in their own teams, and create their own magic. . . It is now the end of May 2020 and finally, here in Toronto, we are s-l-o-w-l-y starting to emerge from quarantine and the #COVID19 #pandemic. As Toronto and the GTA begin Phase 1 in opening the city back up, beauty studios like BlushPretty still do not have the green light to open our doors and our mobile team are unable still to provide on-location services. And that kind of sucks ... a lot. . But what doesn’t suck is that we are FULLY prepared to bring our exceptional, abov...e-standard skills and customer service to the table when our doors DO open. We’ve taken the last eight weeks of quarantine to educate and train ourselves on health and safety practices, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and policies and plans to keep YOU safe. And that’s what really is important now - keeping our staff, artistry team, and dedicated clientele #SAFE! . With these new policies and procedures in place, we have undergone a slight and unexpected makeover so to speak. While our services and offerings - both in-studio and on-location - remain the same, how we will operate and provide our clientele the exceptional experiences they have been accustomed to have had to evolve a bit. Just a little bit. . And while nobody likes change - not me, not you, not babies and toddlers - I’m excited to tell you that along with changes to procedures we have also brought in new services. Yes, new services! More fun and beautiful ways to make you feel and look like your optimal best. So you know, there’s that to look forward too. .
