We dined in for lunch today and it was a wonderful experience. We both had french onion soup as an appetizer. It was served with cheesy sourdough bread. They us...e smoked havarti and parmesan in the soup and it was gooey and delicious. For my main course I had the avocado grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. It was served with housemade ketchup and dip. Very good. My spouse had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was pecan encrusted. It was very tender and moist (yes I hate that word too). I had to take a bite it looked so good. He chose the bacon and jalapeno waffles. He said they were light, crisp on the outside but fluffy on the inside. He thoroughly enjoyed it. It was served with cinnamon whipped cream, berries and maple syrup. For dessert we had the orange and pecan chess pie. It was interesting to learn the origin of it. We also had to try the apple cinnamon wine and cranberry wine, both from Shrugging Doctor. Delicious. The manager Rich was great to talk to, knowledgable and ensured we had a great experience. They utilize alot of local ingredients and suppliers which I value. The atmosphere was fully renovated, cosy, beautiful and clean. They also had partitions up to ensure social distancing.
