It’s no secret that Canada’s forests are world renowned! With more than 347 million hectares of forest, we are home to nearly 10% of the world’s overall forest cover and a whopping 36% of its certified forests. And, of course, our beloved province of Ontario contributes to this did you know that there are 6,000 trees per Ontarian? These trees directly benefit their local environment and communities by purifying air and water, providing wildlife habitat, creating recreation...al opportunities, and supporting jobs. But the positive impacts of our forests extend well beyond municipal, provincial, and even national borders. For example, our boreal forest provides seasonal habitat for up to five billion migratory birds each year, some travelling as far as from the Arctic to Antarctica! And then there’s the massive carbon sequestration potential of our forests, which can help to mitigate worldwide impacts of climate change. March 21st is the International Day of Forests. To celebrate the role our forests play as global heroes, Forests Ontario is running a donations campaign with all proceeds going towards our tree planting and education programs. There are many ways to join the celebration. Make one-time or recurring donation, become a member, or share our donation campaign posts on social media to help spread the word about the good work that forests do. Every little bit counts. For less than your monthly coffee expense you can become a monthly donor for $25/month, and help us leave a greener Ontario, and world, for future generations. Support today and be the seed that grows our forests. https://www.forestsontario.ca

Leigh (@devinwalls) has made a gay-themed film (starring @mrcharliedavid) about how Darren (@riddlehoover) and Joe (@jaredallman) met and fell in love. As a result of the film's success, Darren and Joe begin to question whether their domestic partnership is... as exciting or romantic as what led up to it.
