Boss Babe Gala

Our hearts are heavy knowing this won’t be happening tomorrow. I’ve (Megan) had a really hard time processing this, but I’m finding strength in trusting the process. Knowing that some how, some way, this too will work out just as it should. I wanted to share this because today I’m not feeling upbeat and positive. Today I’m sad. And that’s ok. It’s ok to be sad and to grieve this kind of thing. We need to process those emotions and allow ourselves to feel what we’re feelin...g. We gotta feel it to heal it. Happy Monday babes! May today bring you one step closer to living the life you desire

At this point it’s obvious, but we’re here to officially announce that the date of this year’s Gala is being postponed. It’s taken us a while to fully accept this because the work we do with the Gala is so important and it fills our cups in the biggest way. For me personally, it’s also my social saving grace. I work from home operating my full time gig @bluejeansandpearls and after a couple years of that, I realized I wanted to do more. In doing more, I learned how import...ant human connection is to me. The Gala provides that outlet for me, while connecting me with incredible people and amazing local businesses. It is also a beautiful way to honour and recognize women in our community who may otherwise not get the opportunity. Our mission from Day 1 with the Gala was to ignite the Boss in all of us, and to bring awareness to the fact that WE ARE ALL BOSS BABES. We are all worthy of love and celebration. We are all worthy of being accepted just as we are and we deserve to be celebrated for all that we have done and who we have yet to become. Our mission is to raise the collective, promote self love, bridge the gap between the demographics, unite all kinds and celebrate ourselves just as we are. We believe in one love, that we are STRONGER TOGETHER and that TOGETHER WE RISE. So while Covid may have put a damper on our physical celebration this year, it has reminded me that all of the above is still true. In fact, it’s truer than ever. WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. And so, I am choosing to trust and surrender; and believe that this is all part of a bigger plan. We don’t know just when the 3rd Annual Boss Babe Gala will be, but we do know that when the time is right, it is going to be even more magical than ever. Because we will need this celebration more than ever, and we’ll be able to come together with a stronger appreciation for human connection, an even bigger reason to celebrate, a more humble approach to our roles in this life and a much deeper understanding that we truly are all in this together. Daydreaming about the day we get to do this again. We’ve been super quiet around here, taking some time processing our current reality. It’s been a month since the #covid19 pandemic started affecting our daily lives and life as we knew it changed completely. Theres been some mucky terrain to navigate, but we are getting through with the reminder that this too shall pass. ... We’ll be back soon with an update
