So many smiles and a lot of excitement for the first group of children to walk through our doors at our brand new facility! And a special shout out to Whitecourt Central School for making our transitions at the bus stop so seamless! What a perfect day had by staff and students!

What a year it has been. We are feeling very grateful today as we open a new chapter for our Club. We are incredibly excited to be opening our doors at a new location on March 15th. Our Club will be moving to 4812 50th Ave located in the downtown core in Whitecourt. How fitting on the one year anniversary of our Club being forced to shut down as a result of a global pandemic, that we will be opening a new location and coming back stronger than we ever have before. Irene was the driving force behind the Boys & Girls Club of Whitecourt & District and the Whitecourt Teen Centre. Without her dedication and perseverance neither of these places would have existed. Thank you to Alynn Ward, (also a huge driving force behind the Boys & Girls Club of Whitecourt & District), for sharing some of our history and those that initially brought this wonderful resource to our community. Thank you Irene for your service to the children, youth, and families of our community. We hope to honour what you have started by continuing to grow what you had planted so many years ago.
