Skillz & Drillz! Sport BC says that youth sports can continue as long as: the activities are skills and drills only, and participants remain 3 metres (9 feet) from others. Coach Parry will be available for pre-scheduled sessions from 11am-1pm Wednesdays-Sundays. $10 per session. Phone the day before to reserve your spot - space is limited!

We have decided to close voluntarily for two weeks, starting Saturday, November 21. As both Provincial and Federal health officials urge Canadians to significantly reduce their social interactions with those outside their household and to stay home as much as possible, we are taking this step to keep both our customers and staff safe. It is our hope that doing so will help us to resume normal business activities as soon as possible. Our current plan is to reopen on Monday, December 7. Please do your part to stop the spread. WOW ! YBC bowler Austin Cant bowled a 1009 triple when he banked some games after his league today! Hes 15 years old, and his games were 368, 242 & 399!!! Way to go, Austin!

Are you ready to roll? We are!! In fact, we did a run-through of league bowling last week with a small sample of league bowlers. We got some great feedback from these bowlers, and everybody felt safe with the steps we are taking to ensure that this season runs smoothly and in compliance with government regulations. Sorry Folks! Our YBC and Club 55+ Banquets are officially cancelled due to continued restrictions on events. YBC trophies were ordered quite a while ago, but our supplier is having trouble getting all of the components. We are still planning to safely start up our leagues after Labour Day! If you bowled last season, we will be contacting, if we have not done so already!

It's almost time for leagues to start up again! Yes, things will look a bit different this year, as we will only have a maximum of 6 bowlers per pair of lanes. UPDATE: Rather than specifying a target date to reopen, we have chosen to close until further notice. Given the recent directives to: cancel all gatherings of 50 people or more, and; for all Canadians to stay home, Brechin Lanes has decided that it is in the best interests of our valued customers and staff to close temporarily , starting Tuesday, March 17. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy time with your families and loved ones.

A message to our league bowlers: while we have decided to remain open for now, with additional disinfecting precautions, we completely understand if you prefer to stay home. You may wish to come and pre-bowl at a time when it is less busy so that your team can still get credit for your scores - many bowlers are already doing this. Please phone ahead (250-753-2341) to find a time that works. If you choose to miss your scheduled league night without pre-bowling, you will not be charged for that sessions league bowling. Additionally, we will not be providing cloths during league bowling. If you wish to have a damp cloth while you bowl, we encourage you to bring your own in a ziplock bag. We will provide further updates as we learn more.
