An example of a Headstand (Sirsasana) and Shoulderstand (Sarvangasana) Routine with variations (Sanskrit names). If attempting these for the first time - be sure to only go up for a very short time (10 or 20 seconds) with the support of a wall, and if you have high blood pressure, or any condition which is exacerbated by being inverted then it is NOT recommended that you do this. A simple floor routine to relieve lower back pain by releasing upper back and shoulder stiffness using a back mitra (or rolled towel if you don't have a mitra). Try to keep the elbows straight and lower front ribs down while performing the shoulder movement into flexion. Many of us have low back pain related to stiffness in the upper back due to the amount of time we spend sitting in our world today. Do this rountine daily for a few weeks - and you'll notice a big change in your shoulder and upper back mobility and reduced lower back pain. Thanks for joining me. Namaste. Brett

A very effective way to release the psoas muscle (Hip flexor muscle), using a chair. This exercise will help to alleviate some of the harmful effects on the back from prolonged sitting. Recommended to do this every 2 or 3 days for best results. A comfortable, mild stretch will produce the most benefit - stay within the realm of 'ease'.
