On each slide I also include designer’s name + brand ID so I can find them quickly + use those elements on other layouts. In the search bar you can also use the filter icon to see: - only animated elements - or only elements in the free Canva plan. Want to look for Canva templates? Tip: Don’t just use the template layouts in the sidebar! - Go to the HOME screen, and hover over TEMPLATES. Dropdown menu is sorted by topics, like social media (+ subtopics like Instagram Stories, Facebook posts, etc) - Choose topic, then you get a screen where you can search for themes (Christmas, summer), + filter by colour. - Pick a template you like. Are your dreams big enough? There was a time when I was super shy. Like, painfully shy. I was an overachiever in high school, but one thing had me breaking out in cold sweats... speaking in front of my class. ... I remember the dread of being near the end of the lineup and painfully waiting with sweaty palms as each student got up for their turn. I did it, awkwardly. It was the only class I got a C. Fast forward many years... I took on opportunities, saying yes before my fear crept in and the little voice would grow loud and shrill screaming inside my head "what are you dooooiiiinnnngggg?". I taught live in-person workshops (before "social media marketing" was even a thing!) to big companies and small businesses. They were so excited to see the possibilities! I was hired 2 weeks before term to develop and teach an 11-week "social media for photographer" program at a local tech collage, where I had little guidance in creating the curriculum, but I nailed it with a unique term-long project that got students to not only learn about different social media platforms (before Instagram and Pinterest even existed), but stretched themselves to connect with influencial photographers and others in the industry and see incredible opportunities unfold through their own brave actions. Did I feel like throwing up before I facilitated my first paid workshop (and many others)? You bet. Did I have to work through tech hiccups when doing virtual presentations? Oh yah.
