Please join us in wishing local City of Prince George Olympian Meryeta O'Dine good luck! Meryeta left to Europe today for 2.5 solid months of training and comp...etitions to help further prepare her for the 2022 Winter Olympics in China. Before her flight out of town, John Brink surprised her with a major sponsorship cheque so that she can focus on training instead of travel expenses. All the best, Meryeta. Thanks for making our community proud! #HYPG #Athlete #SnowboardCross

Frozen Forest is one of my images in this years 2021 calendar which will be ready to order very soon. Funny side note I thought my Mac was done yesterday as it ...crashed on me and would not restart, and all my calendar work was gone, but after a long day of stress I managed to get everything back. Note to self make backups more regularly . . . . . . . #nature #natureaddict #earthcapture #bestnatureshots #show_us_nature #ig_canada #tourcanada #canadiancreatives #stayandwander #roamtheplanet #dailyviewbc #fantastic_earth #getoutside See more

Happy Diwali!! Diwali is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world and we’re proud to support this amazing tradition. The festival, which for some also coincides with harvest and New Year celebrations, commemorates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness. Something we could all get behind these days!... In 2020, Diwali takes place on November 12 and goes on for five days, with the main day of celebrations taking place on Saturday, November 14.
Thanksgiving Monday and our community looks absolutely stunning!

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. According to Statistics Canada, almost two-thirds of those aged 15 to 24 reported COVID-19 having a negative impact on their men...tal health. And, 41% of them were likely to report symptoms consistent with moderate or severe anxiety. United Way in partnership with the Government of Canada is using Emergency Community Support funds to help ensure the mental health and well-being needs of vulnerable youth and their families are being met. #healthycommunities #northernbc #covid19bc #unitedwaynbc

Earlier this year in April, COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the 9th Annual Autism Awareness Walk (Prince George). However, thanks to the generosity of five companies, it's back with a vengeance! ... For the entire month of October 2020, the Northern Interior Autism Society is hosting their annual walk, with the goal of raising $5,000. Community members are encouraged to grab a blue balloon and walk anywhere in Prince George to show show their support. If you'd like to donate, please click on the GoFundMe below In addition, we're partnered with a few amazing companies to help raise funds - Canadian Western Bank, Rivers Edge Services, North Side Auto Sales and Certified Labs - who will all be donating $1.00 for every kilometer that Prince George athlete Matija Tiani runs throughout the month of October... Awesome! Finally, a special thank you to Jamie Rivard, Jordan Dreher-Oliver and the entire Northern Interior Autism Society for the great work they do. It’s an interesting conversation with one self when a big Grizzly is strolling out of the mist straight in your direction. Seconds feel like an eternity and I c...an hear every step as it moves through the water another step closer. You can hear the exhale of his heavy breaths and see the mist part from his path. Holding as still and steady as possible to get the shot is not second nature See more
