This weekend, November 28th Baseball BC will be hosting a High Performance Zoom event. This event is hosted free of charge. Registration can be found here https://baseball.bc.ca/high-performance-seminar-success---o This is a great opportunity to provide content for your HP program, specifically given that some indoor facilities are restricting access to training at this time.

Happy Friday! Dear Burnaby Baseball Family. Just a reminder that our Annual General Meeting is this Saturday, October 24th at 11am (sign in at 10:30am) and held at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex and on Zoom. Please join us either through Zoom or in-person by registering through our website at www.burnabybaseball.com/agm2020 We will revisit where we've been, talk about where we are now and look ahead on what is to come which we believe will be successful seasons of baseball ...for our players. All information about the AGM is on our website. Now a quick word on what's ahead. At this point, BBA fully expects to have spring and summer seasons in 2021. Therefore, volunteers are needed in all areas of operations and the AGM is a great time for you to ask questions about the needs of BBA, discuss any particulars or clarifications for each need and connect with our board members on how you might provide support in giving our players another successful season of baseball! Register, come with ideas and questions and we hope to see you at AGM! Sincerely, Jonathan Chan and the BBA Board of Directors

North Fraser Nationals the 2020 BC Minor Baseball 18U College Prep Provincial Champions! Congratulations to Burnaby's North Fraser Nationals for winning the 2020 BC Minor Baseball 18U College Prep Provincial Championship over the Labour Day Weekend in its inaugural year at the College Prep Level. On the first day of the tournament they had an extremely slow start going 0-2 losing to the Chilliwack Cougars 14-4 and Vancouver Island Mariners 4-2. Due to the 2 losses on the f...irst day, the Nationals were in a must win situation in the final 2 games of the round robin to even have a chance to make the championship round. The team fought back and managed to beat Kelowna Sun Devils 5-2 and the Cloverdale Nationals 9-6 to go 2-2 in the round robin and managed to qualify for the final spot in the championship round. On championship day, the Nationals avenged both of their earlier losses by beating the Vancouver Island Mariners 5-1 in the semifinals and then beating the Chilliwack Cougars, the provincial champions 3 of the last 4 years and the current defending champions, 5-3 in the final. Great come back by the players who persevered and maintained their confidence that they had the ability to perform at their best when it counted the most. Well deserving CHAMPIONS.
