Now that a lot of people are getting back on the road during construction season...
We are back up and driving! We also have a new instructor, an additional vehicle and more times available! We are sanitizing between And after every lesson. We do Wear masks and require students to wear one as well. It's great to be helping people learn to drive again!
FYI, until we can teach like the picture, ALL driving schools MUST be closed. What the schools who are breaking the laws don't realize is that both the instrt...uctor AND student will get a fine. One school got off easy today with each the student and instructor getting a $1,200 fine. In my opinion the school should have gotten a $5000 fine for a BUSINESS breaking the rules.. Stop being greedy, if you have a driving school willing to teach during this, ask yourself just how honest is this school to begin with!! See more
YUP GOOD ADVICE
Adjust your speed and following distance! This happens in the States almost every year and it can easily be avoided!
Remember the basics... Start slower, stop sooner! And use your mirrors - be aware of your surroundings
Absolutely love boasting about my high first time pass rate! My students are the best!
Slow down peeps
MPI resumed booking new road tests for Classes 2-6, July 8, 2020. In order to effectively manage the anticipated high interest in booking new road tests, particularly for Class 5, available appointment slots will be made available every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. until they are able to work through the expected backlog. When all the available appointments are filled, new appointments will not be made available until the next Wednesday. Cancelled appointment slots will also not b...ecome available until the next release date. Customers are encouraged to book Class 5 and 6 road tests through MPI’s Online Services at mpi.mb.ca. To assist customers who either cannot or do not wish to visit an Autopac agent or service centre during the COVID-19 pandemic, MPI is allowing customers to perform certain critical transactions, such as booking driver testing services, over the phone or by email with their Autopac agent. Road tests can also be booked in person at Autopac agents or MPI Service Centres. Updated safety procedures They have updated thier road test procedures during COVID-19 for the protection of both customers and staff. Prior to starting a road test, customers must: Maintain physical distancing (minimum of 2 metres/6 feet) when possible. Provide and wear their own mask (non-medical masks are permitted). Answer questions to ensure they have not been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing respiratory illness symptoms. Sanitize all touchpoints in their vehicle. If customers are not able to comply with the outlined requirements or show any symptoms of a respiratory illness (coughing etc.), the test will be cancelled immediately and rebooked for a later time. Specific requirements for each licence class road test can be found at the COVID-19 Driving Tests page.
So last Friday was the last day that I did a lesson. By choice, I cancelled all future lessons until this craziness is over. I would like to express how irresponsible anyone who continues to do lessons at this point is! Continuing lessons shows a complete lack of care and concern for your fellow human being. Yes, for those like myself that this is our sole income it will be a difficult time! But human lives are far above money! Caring for your fellow human beings will outweigh the mighty dollar every day! Remember, you can't take it with you! And while you're here, please be kind to each other and because we all have time on our hands now help where ever we can possibly help. Please everyone, be safe, be smart!
