On this day in 1938, the Nazis carried out a violent riot that targeted synagogues and Jewish-owned businesses. Hundreds were killed and more than 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to concentration camps. There was so much destruction that the event was given the name Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) due to the sheer amount of broken glass on the streets. #Neveragain
