It’s with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mrs. Lynne Lavigne, on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Lynne was well known in our community as so...meone who was always patient, kind, and generous. She also played an important role in supporting her husband, the late Hector Lavigne, as Mayor of Callander for many years. Lynne offered so much to our community, both in contributing to the success of municipal initiatives and in other ways such as with the Royal Canadian Legion. She will be deeply missed. See more

Nick is a Callander resident that recently transferred to our Branch, he is a 91 year old and a Korean War Veteran. President Marc Picard and First Vice President Nancy Clark were extremely honoured and proud to present him with a 65 year Ordinary Member pin.
On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445 Callander, we would like offer a heartfelt thank you to all the small businesses in Callander, Bonfield and East Ferris that allowed the Legion to place Poppy Boxes at their locations during our Poppy Campaign. In addition, the public was extremely generous during our two very limited tag days, Saturday Oct 31 and Saturday Nov 7. Although the donations continue to come in and the final numbers will be announced soon, we can ...say that we had a very successful Poppy Campaign this year. Thanks to our Poppy Chairs, Bill and Fay, our wonderful members, volunteers and a more than generous community. During these difficult times it is greatly appreciated and will help local Veterans more than you will ever know. LEST WE FORGET
