Descanon (Canon) Cook a, company driver for the SCD Division, is first recipient of the annual Challenger Driver of the Year Award.... Canon was recognized for the following: Canon witnessed suspicious behaviour at a rest stop she was at in Ripley, WV. She immediately offered assistance to the person. She also contacted the authorities that seemed unwilling to help so she took it to the trafficking hotline, and when that failed, she reached out to Challenger for help. We were able to contact the appropriate people who were able to assist this person in need. Canon displayed every one of our core values and then some. She went over and above to help out a complete stranger and took additional steps to ensure that this person was helped.
