This. If anything, this is has been the hardest year for teachers of their professional lives.

Didn’t apply?! At a time when we are seeing pressures on our courts because of Jordan and with COVID putting more pressures on our courts and resulting in delays, one would hope that government would make sure that we have all the judges that we need in our court houses, it’s unfortunate that this government didn’t even put in an effort to make that request. - NDP Justice Critic Irfan Sabir

What we heard from Albertans at our pre-budget town hall: "Everyone likes jobs. Stop cutting jobs. Start investing in diversification." What Albertans received: A budget that will cut at least 15,000 jobs, no job creation strategy, and no investment in Alberta's future economy.

Cuts to post-secondary are deeply damaging to Alberta because these schools and the students they teach are critical for the economic future of our province. We... need young people to stay in Alberta and we need them to get a good education. We need to fight these cuts, fight this terrible UCP budget. Who’s with me? https://thegauntlet.ca//cuts-to-post-secondary-short-sigh/

What we heard from Albertans at our pre-budget town hall: "Alberta is made for green energy projects. Diversification means economic stability. No more rollercoaster economy." What Albertans received: A budget with zero investment in diversification or green energy.

This is a chance for your story to be told and your voice the heard - let’s show people the impacts of racism. I would like to do short interviews (not in perso...n due to COVID, the interviewee can just record themselves and answer the three questions) with people living in or around Strathmore on their perspective and experience with racism. These interviews will be compiled into one video to be shared on social media. Deadline for submissions: MARCH 8 If you would like to be a part of this campaign or have any questions about it please email me at [email protected] but if it’s easier to message me on here please feel free to do so.

Change makes some people uncomfortable. When those people are racists, then you’re making the right change.

We are losing our most valuable resource: people. And I fear we won’t get them back.

All families need access to affordable childcare How does it pay for itself? When parents can afford to participate in the workforce, the taxes on their income more than pays for the childcare program. The additional income they bring into their home gets recycled into our economy. Everyone wins. So let’s expand access to affordable childcare for all families, not remove it!

ICYMI: Our record from our first 4 years in gov. http://whathasrachelnotleydoneformelately.ca How do you think the UCP's record will compare in 2023?

Jason Kenney rescinded the coal policy without warning, no form of consultation and in the middle of a devastating pandemic. We believe the Premier deliberately... tried to exclude Albertans from this decision. That is not leadership. Moreover, Reliable, transparent, and trustworthy consultation along with predictable, evidence-based decision-making, while sounding super boring, is actually a profoundly effective for sound economic growth. In contrast, secretive cat and mouse games combined with unending gaslighting not only create the anger but also leads to investment uncertainty and puts a chill on growth. The UCP should stop doing that. https://www.albertandp.ca/restore-Lougheed-Coal-policy

Langdon is getting a library! Libraries connect our communities, providing easily accessible programming and literature for children and adults. Special thanks to the Langdon Library Society, Cereal Library Board, and the Marigold Library System for making this a reality.
